Flushing your cache on Mac OS X

You can run the following command to flush dns cache:

sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder; sleep 2; echo macOS DNS Cache Reset | say

In order to verify that worked you can run the following command

dig <domain name>

In the results you can see the updated IP for the domain
